A Summer Without Subtitles

After finishing a fantastic year at Hesston College, I am headed to Middlebury, Vermont to take part in their intensive language schools for the summer. For the next eight weeks, I will be studying Mandarin Chinese and signing a Language Pledge where I can only speak Chinese for the remainder of my time here.

Talk about a summer without subtitles.

Though my contact with the "outside world" will be limited, this blog will keep you all up to date with what I am doing. Posts will be short and sweet so as to monitor my use of English.

Overall, I am excited to learn more of the language at the Intermediate level. The days will be filled with lectures, speaking exercises, cultural activities, and lots of studying and homework.
